Traditional Contour shaped core made of "New Generation" Accela-Flex Polyurethane Foam. Accela-Flex imitates the properties of HR Foams, but without the need for heavy, boardy feels commonly found in these types of foam. Accela-Flex also has activated carbon in the formulation know as Fresh Foamä. The Fresh Foam additive is part of the cell structure; it is designed to absorb the odors naturally associated with foam products. It also helps in the retardation of foam oxidation, which is a normally occurring problem with foams that causes premature yellowing of the material. This change does not affect the properties of the foam, but does affect the overall look of the pillow. Accela-Flex is formulated with an additive know as Ultra Fresh. Ultra Fresh uses the power of Silver to combat growth of bacteria and mites to keep the pillow fresh longer. The wrap of the pillow utilizes another cutting edge memory material. Traditional memory foams are of a closed cell type, the Contour Wrap uses a new "open cell memory foam" which allows for better airflow, keeping the sleeping surface cool and comfortable.
